July 30 - Today easy day - local dives tomorrow

Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day and everybody enjoyed the trip to Sail Rock - 2 of the divers only had dived in shallow fresh water lakes before and they we're well impressed with all there was to see around the rock. Kim took the Open Water Diver student and the Discover Scuba Divers for a beach dive in Haad Yao but a storm came in and they had to abort the dive. We also cancelled the sunset and night dives at Sail Rock due to the weather conditions.

Today is another sunny day and Kim is doing day 2 of the Open Water Diver course. Vic is doing a Tune Up who will start the Advanced course tomorrow.

We're planning to dive local sites tomorrow.

Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day - the sea was flat and everybody enjoyed the trip to Koh Tao. They dived South West Pinnacles and Shark Island. The Advanced students did their Multilevel and Naturalist dives with Kim and Kestrel was the assistent.

Today is another sunny day and Reefer 1 has gone to Sail Rock with Vic, Fun Divers - a mum and dad with their daughter and their younger son is snorkeling with Nods. Kim has started an Open Water Diver course and is also taking some Discover Scuba Divers for a beach dive this afternoon.

We're planning a trip to Ang Thong Marine Park for tomorrow.

Today is another sunny day and the water looks calm and blue.

Reefer 1 has gone to Koh Tao with Fun Divers, Snorkelers and Mickey, Sarah and Adam are doing some dives for their PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course - we're diving Shark Island and Aow Leuk.

We're planning a trip to Sail Rock for tomorrow.

Introducing ourselves

Reefers Dive Resort is located on the beautiful beach of Haad Yao, Koh Phangan, Thailand offering superb diving holidays.

We teach all PADI courses from beginner to Pro and have daily dive and snorkel trips to all the best sites in the area.

Working as PADI Instructors for the past 6 years in Koh Phangan and Koh Tao with over 5000 dives in the area, we have the perfect team to ensure your best diving experience.



Reefers’ has two offices; the main centre is based at Shiralea Backpackers Resort with an additional office at Haad Yao Bungalows right in the middle of the beach. The Shiralea site offers everything you need for a friendly relaxed diving environment; a purpose built 3m deep training pool, classroom, equipment retail and snorkel rental. The excellent restaurant and bar are perfect for après-dive socialising.

We offer daily boat and beach dives to all the best sites. Our newly refurbished fully equipped dive boat ' Reefer 1' is more than comfortable for up to 20 guests to have a lovely relaxing day.

We are lucky to have a captain who is from the island and knows everything there is to know about local sea and weather conditions.

The owners Vic and Kim have been diving these waters for many years and look forward to showing you the amazing fish and corals they have to offer.

We will be teaching PADI scuba diving courses in English, Italian, French, German and Dutch, but can provide teaching materials in many more languages.


We are proud to be affiliated with Shiralea Backpackers Resort and Haad Yao Bungalows and offer great discounts for students staying here.

Shiralea is a new western owned and managed resort offering great accommodation. Bungalows have queen-size beds, fans and hot water. There is a huge swimming pool with jacuzzi on site and it is just a short 100m walk down to the beach.

Haad Yao Bungalows is situated right at the heart of the beach and have just undergone a major refurbishment. Bungalows now have air-con, fridge, TV and hot water. There is a friendly beachside bar and restaurant perfect for sunset drinks after a day’s diving.
